Please don't shout at me if I can't get a hold of my DVD. I will do my utmost. Hopefully my friend who holds the disk currently will remember to bring it before then. Should be seeing her on the Wednesday, so I shall remind her to bring it.

Aww, oh well. I suppose it can't be everyone's cup of tea. It's not my favourite ever but I own it - just waiting for vol. 6 to come out in a week.

I find it a good study to compare speed grapher's voting popularity with battle vixens, I think the weak plot is just a better cover for the sordid anime, people feel less guilty voting for it Very Happy

On the sordid note, I found out what the "Sacred Pearl" was actually called in Japanese - Magatama. A fairly common term for that kind of relic.

If anyone actually reads this before the meeting tonight, I have a lecture up till 5:30, so in advance it may overrun slightly. I will still be bringing Witchblade for you, just show it last or something. To be on the safe side.

Thanks for the DVD. And we always put the titles outside our immediate control/possession last, as a rule to avoid an early let down. Very Happy

Argh! I can't believe the vote was so close this week! I'm sad to learn that Witchblade is dropping out with 6 votes! Oh well.

Also, can someone keep pace with voting outcomes. it would make me happier - not that it matters since there are so few of us on here.

What do you mean? Like an archive of voting results?
I can post that in the mash ups thread if you want...

Well that's a nice idea in itself. I had actually thought of mentioning that, but didn't.

I think what I meant was that the admins should put up the results at least by the Saturday after showings. If we ever get over 20 people on here then I think at least some of them would be excited to learn of the vote outcome.

No problem, we will get our act together on this one. Ideally, we should be sending out our newsletter on Friday night/Saturday morning. It is purely a matter of sync between me and Steve on the mash-up updates, since he can get away with not counting the votes until I give them to him. Personally, I think that Witchblade went down due to the similarity to other things we are showing in our top three, and people are more likely to vote for something they have already seen and enjoyed before, but have not completed watching yet.

Sigh, we will try to mix it up. I wish Speed Grapher would bite the bullet soon, the popular vote cow that it is - slow and steady, yet very mediocre as an anime.

Maybe so, but I do quite like it and want to see where it is going. Decent amine that if does eventually get dropped, I will torrent or buy.

As for the others, I don't mind too much if Black Lagoon goes, since I've seen it before - I just enjoy it so much. Not to spoil anything but the next couple of Eps are something special. Witchblade obviously didn't matter that that went, since I own it.
